Shipment
Det. Supt Hackett and his team stake out a cargo ship carrying £30,000 in silver. A tip off from snout Ted Knight points the finger at Jack Maynard. When the stake out is terminated they discover Knight with his throat cut on the dock.

Blow Out
Harry Skeats runs a gang of jewel thieves. During a safe breaking Rocky Wall is badly burned. The gang dump him and he dies in hospital. Knowing they need a new burner, Det. Supt. Steve Hackett gets Tim Farlow out of jail to use has bait.

Big Elephant
Courier Pink gives Sharkey a chance to make some money by bringing package of Lebanon hashish into Britain. Before he can hand it to Cetti, police raid his home. Sharkey finds he is in possession of half a million pounds worth of heroin.

Hunting Parties
Dickie Tufnell and burglar Harry Kemp are shot dead, at his home, in a gangland hit. His twin Roland wants revenge. Det. Supt. Hackett learns that Kemp had been forced into the robbery by a pair of revolutionaries looking to raise funds.

Vandraggers
Two youths have hijacked four lorries and beaten up the drivers. Supt Tate believes they are stealing to order. When the pair attempt to sell new TV/radio cassette players to Tyler Electronics they cross a big firm who shoot the pair dead.

Lady Luck
Hackett's snout Collars is murdered. Inquiries lead to the release of Swain and Lewis from Parkhurst. Target criminal Ruby Daniels daughter Sam is kidnapped and they want £300,000 in cash. Hackett believes Daniels is connected to the pair.

Set Up
An informer tells Supt. Hackett to go to a squash club where he will find a briefcase in a locker. Leaving he is approached by Deputy Chief Constable Goddard. Instead of documents, there is £10,000 in cash and Hackett facing suspension.

Roadrunner
A young runaway is found at the scene of a lorry hijacking. Down the road a second lorry is hijacked but driver Hawley is dead and carrying a large amount of money. Hackett suspects that girls are being used has bait and goes undercover.

Carve Up
Bids are being placed for a lucrative city development building project but is there an element of police corruption connected to one of them?

Rogue's Gallery
A number of art shops have been broken into with paintings stolen to order. Bonnie finds a link to a man called Abbo and curator Jenny Wilder, who has exported paintings from fourteen of the galleries. Jenny is put under investigation.

A Good and Faithful Woman
Hackett and his team are left in the lurch when Raymond Blake fails show to pick up £100,000 in stolen cash. Blake is met by Charlie Walker and his team who demand an 80% cut. When Mrs. Blake is seen with aid Venables, Hackett is alerted.

Queen's Pardon
Geoffrey Wyatt wants a Queen's Pardon for his son Paul, who was wrongfully hanged 15 years earlier. He takes M. P. Jack Sissons hostage with a briefcase of explosives. Wyatt names Raymond John Perry, a target criminal of Supt. Hackett.

Fringe Banking
Millett Construction are bidding for the M58 contract. Civil servant John McCorquadale is caught in a honey trap by Chaz Carter but then killed. Hecht buys Millett Construction from Ernest Millett and Supt. Hacket tries to find the money.

Promises
Supt. Hackett and DC Brian Aston are guarding informer, Heslop prior to giving evidence against target criminal Collyer. Aston is blown up by a bomb placed in Heslop's car. Now Heslop has gone on the run from both, Hackett and Collyer.

The Trouble with Charlie
Hackett bumps into ex-girlfriend Trish Walker, at the airport. She is carrying £12,000 of cocaine for Scott Taylor. While out, with Hackett, Taylor's drug deal goes wrong and an innocent man is killed. Hackett is brought to investigate.

Figures of Importance
Steve Hackett's former fiancee Gemma Maskell ring hims out of the blue wanting to see him. He is unaware that her husband is threatening her life if she doesn't return to London. The following day she is dragged from the river strangled.

The Run
A courier arriving from Frankfurt is mugged. He has on him a sample case with pure gold moldings. Hackett believes Billy Jarvis is smuggling gold and using his porn empire has a front. He is certain Jarvis is paying for heroin with gold.
