Steve Weston, a diamond prospector in Ceylon, is robbed of his precious stones. Left without money, he gets hired in a mine where he finds Alfred, the man who stole his diamonds, as the ruthless supervisor. Having recognized his victim, he tries to free himself by accusing her of theft. Having thwarted the attempt, Steve organizes, with the complicity of other whites and the help of a guard, who owes him a debt of gratitude, the escape from the mine. Warned by a spy, Alfred reacts by deporting Steve and the others to a small island from which it is very difficult to escape. Having seized some sticks of dynamite, Weston and the other miners rise up against the overseers, forcing Alfred to hastily return to Ceylon. Steve, who has lost all his friends in the revolt, reaches him and engages in a furious fight with him during which Alfred is about to get the upper hand. The intervention of a native, however, puts an end to his existence forever.
